Palak Matar

Ingredients

  • πŸ₯¬ Spinach – 500 g
  • πŸ… Tomato – 1
  • πŸ§… Onion – 2 medium
  • 🟒 Green peas – 1 cup
  • 🌿 Kasuri Methi
  • 🌰 Cumin & Jeera seeds
  • πŸ§‚ Turmeric, Chilli, Salt
  • ✨ Dhaniya, Garam Masala

Method

  1. πŸ₯¬ Boil spinach for 3 minutes.
  2. ❄️ Strain the spinach and immediately transfer it to cold water.
  3. πŸŒ€ Grind the spinach into a smooth puree.
  4. πŸ”₯ Heat 4 tablespoons of oil in a pan.
  5. 🌰 Add cumin seeds and jeera seeds.
  6. πŸ§… Add finely chopped onions.
  7. ✨ Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
  8. πŸ§„ Add ginger–garlic paste and roast for 1 minute.
  9. πŸ… Add one chopped tomato and cook for 3 minutes.
  10. πŸ§‚ Add Β½ tsp turmeric powder, Β½ tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder, and Β½ tsp cumin powder.
  11. 🟒 Add 1 cup green peas and cook for 3 minutes.
  12. 🌿 Add salt to taste, spinach puree, kasuri methi, Β½ cup water, and Β½ tsp garam masala. Cook for another 3 minutes and serve hot πŸ˜‹
